The 2nd edition of the Paris Bicycle Film Festival Tournament held in the 4th district of Paris 17 & 18 October 2009. 36 teams were registered for this week-end. Those teams came not only from different French regions (Rhônes-Alpes, Normandy and Ile-de-France) but also from various European countries (Germany, Spain, Italy, United Kingdom, Switzerland). Even some American and Canadian players were there!
The Paris BFF Tournament started with a qualifying round on Saturday 17, where 36 teams were divided in 6 groups of 6 teams each. Only the 4 first teams on each group were qualified for the double elimination round played on Sunday 18.
This tournament has been won by the 2009 European Champions, L’Equipe (Genève, Switzerland), which came from the loser's bracket, facing in final Apologies Accepted (Paris, France) who had sent in the loser's bracket Los Poloholics Toros (Munich, Germany) before the final and Malice International (London, U.K.) before the semi-final.
Tournoi VEloveLO (12 September 2009)
The "VEloveLO" hardcourt bike polo tournament has been held in Paris 4 in the frame of the opening of the new cycling track "Morland - Hôtel de ville".
For some absolute beginners such as Cyril (Dans ta gueule, Puceau !) or Ludovic Laurent (Les Béliers de Gervais-Lilas), it was time to start to play hardcourt bike polo. For those who had not a team and who wanted to try hardcourt bike polo, some initiatic games were played between some matches of the tournament.
