2000-2013 Ile-de-France championships

The E.S. Gervais-Lilas was the only regular team in the Ile-de-France region between 2000 and 2013.

All the same an under 15-year-old-player regional tournament has been played from 2009 and the following years. And the Initiation Challenge has been played since Winter 2011-2012.

But the FFC Ile-de-France bike polo commission, rebuilted in 2010, and the heads of the E.S. Gervais-Lilas team did not want a regional championship with a high difference between the E.S. Gervais-Lilas (4^th at the International Championship in 2000 and 2003, three times bronze medal in the European Cup in 2007, 2010 and 2011, winner of the Centenial of the 1908 London Olympic Games in 2008 and bronze medal in the 2011 France Championship) and the other teams, which were made of under 15 year old players most of the time.

It is in 2014, when enventually regular teams were born in Ile-de-France, that an annual regional championship came back.
